In case you’re wondering what’s the status of Beyonce‘s new album, Ne-Yo recently dished on the anticipated project in an interview with Billboard:

“I’m still putting stuff together for Beyonce’s album,” Ne-Yo said. “They’re still trying to figure out what they want that to be, which I’m not mad at. Beyonce’s the kind of artist where you’re not gonna see it till it’s right. And her fans — they love her so they’ll be patient.”

The singer-songwriter, along with writers Sia, The-Dream, Ryan Tedder and Greg Kurstin were all summoned by Beyonce last summer to stay in the Hamptons and begin working on new material on her album. Since then, fans have been salivating for a new Beyonce album with very details as to when to expect, despite rumors that she’ll be releasing it this fall.

Ne-Yo has made magic with the singer back in 2006 with his penned hit “Irreplaceable,” which peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The singer-songwriter is also waiting to see if any of his sessions will make the cut on Jay-Z‘s new album Magna Carta Holy Grail, which releases on July 7.

So far, a few new tracks from Beyonce have been released including the controversial “Bow Down/I Been On,” as well as “Grown Woman” and “Standing On the Sun,” which both appeared in Pepsi and H&M commercials, respectively.

Watch Beyonce’s H&M commercial featuring “Standing On the Sun”:

Guess only time will tell when Queen Bey will bless us with new music. If there’s one thing we know, it’s that Beyonce is a perfectionist in every since of the word. It’s best she puts out a quality piece of work than a rushed project to appease the fans. But considering Grown Woman has already leaked and, according to my sources, she’s shot a video for it, I really wonder what kind of timeline Camp Bey is working on. And we wait…
