Lindsay Lohan has landed a reality show on the OWN Network and have a sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey to air this summer.
Lohan, who’s battled with drug and alcohol abuse, is reportedly ready to get her self-destructive career back on track and it looks like partnering with OWN is the troubled starlet’s is an attempt to do just that. Oprah’s exclusive interview with the 27-year-old will tape and air in August, and a eight-part documentary series with the actress is set to air in 2014. The series will reportedly chronicle Lohan’s road to redemption.
Lohan is also starring in a new film called “The Canyons,” which hits theaters on Aug. 2.

I guess for PR purposes this is great news for Lindsay Lohan. But the problem is that I don’t think Lohan has completely turned her life around, which would make this whole reality show and Oprah interview a farse. It completely dilutes all the elements that make a true comeback story. Lohan was just in court and rehab not too long ago, for crying out loud.
But hey, everyone wins here. Lohan gets to sell her pseudo story of recovery, while Oprah gets another television ratings high.
